where to find VIN on a 50 Dodge?

Hello folks,

I just want to say a big Thank You to all who responded. I called my
buddy today and he tends to believe that the title and the car´s VIN
don´t match indeed. Which might become a big problem for him. Now we
wonder where the funny VIN in the title came from. But we probably will
never find out.

Jens

The VIN tag on 1946-1967 Chrysler Corporation cars was attached to the
driver's (left side) door hinge pillar, not the door.

  The VIN on the title - 34 256 162
is not a valid number. Chrysler did not use numbers from 32 293 001
to 34
  500 000.

The number found on the car (by customs): 45 512 700
is for a 1950 Dodge Meadowbrook or Coronet, built at Los Angeles (45
505
  001 to 45 515 652)
